BUDWEISER FOOTBALL GIVEAWAY COMPETITION RULES

11 NOVEMBER 2020

  1. Introduction
    1. 1. This promotional competition (“Competition”) is run by The South African Breweries (Pty) Limited (“Promoter”) and is open to all persons of 18 years or older and resident in South Africa, except for (a) the directors, members, partners, agents, consultants or employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, (b) the directors, members, partners, agents, consultants or employees of any suppliers of any goods or services to the Promoter in respect of this Competition, or (c) directors, members, partners, agents, consultants or employees of the Promoter’s advertising and promotion agencies, associated companies, and participating outlet owners and staff.
    2. 2. The rules set out in this document constitute the rules which will govern the Competition (“Competition Rules”).
    3. 3. Participation in the Competition by all entrants (“Participants”) constitutes acceptance of these Competition Rules.
  2. Competition Period
    1. This Competition will run from 01 November 2020 at 09:00am until 30 November at 5:00pm or until the Promoter provides a public notice that the Competition has ended, whichever is earlier (“Competition Period”). Entries will only be accepted during the Competition Period.
  3. Competition Entry Process
    1. This Competition will take place in store. In order to enter the Competition, a Participant must buy a case of Budweiser (the case may be any pack size including 330NRB, 410ml can, 473ml NRB aluminium pack, or 660mml RB) (a “Budweiser Case”). The Competition may only be entered into once a week per Participant.
  4. Description of Prize
    1. 1. The prize for this Competition is a Budweiser Aluminium Ice Bucket, while stocks last (the “Prize”).
    2. 2. No Prize, in whole or in part, can be transferred to any other person or exchanged for an alternate prize or for its cash value. A winner may not substitute him/herself with any other person.
  5. Winner Selection and Notification
    1. Upon payment of a Budweiser Case at the participating store, the Participant can redeem his or her prize from the cashier at the till.
  6. Winner Verification
    1. All winners must be over the age of 18 years old. Verification of age may be required prior to the awarding of any Prize.
    2. The Promoter reserves the right to carry out audits in respect of any winners to verify their eligibility and/or the validity of the winners’ entries. The Promoter may disqualify any winners if any fraud or cheating or related activity is suspected, including without limitation, falsifying data. All entries, participants or travel partners determined by the Promoter or their agents to be invalid or ineligible will forfeit all rights to any Prize and will not be compensated in any way.
  7. General
    1. In the event of a dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
    2. The timelines stated by the Promoter or its agent must be adhered to. Failing adherence to any timeline, at any stage, may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the Prize in its entirety with no compensation to any party by the Promoter.
    3. The Promoter will not share any personal information with any third party except where such disclosure is necessary to enable the Promoter to provide, deliver or in any other way give effect to these Competition Rules and/or the Prize, where such disclosure is permitted by law and/or where consent to the Promoter sharing personal information is obtained from the winners. The Promoter will comply with the relevant data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 14 of 2013.
    4. The Promoter may make media announcements or publish the names and/or photographs of the winners without remuneration being made payable to the winners, provided that any such person may expressly elect to decline this by written communication to the Promoter.
    5. The Prize is subject to availability and will be given to successful participants only while stocks last
    6. The Promoter will not be responsible for any costs, expenses or other liabilities incurred by the winners which are not expressly contemplated as part of the Prize.
    7. These Competition Rules may be amended by the Promoter on public notice at any time during the Competition Period or thereafter. These Competition Rules will be interpreted by the Promoter only.
    8. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel this Competition in whole or in part. Any alterations, amendments or cancelations will be interpreted by the Promoter only. In the event of an alteration, amendment and/or cancellation the Promoter will not compensate any individual for any reason whatsoever.
    9. All Participants and winners indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter, their respective associated companies (directors, officers and employees) and agents, against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever connected to or arising out of their participation in any way in this Competition or their receipt, participation, ownership and/or use of the Prize. This indemnity is not intended to exclude any liability for any person which cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
    10. By participating in the Competition, each Participant gives the Promoter consent to market its products and campaigns to Participant, using the details provided by the Participant, which Participants may decline by opting out via the opt out mechanism provided on the communications.

Budweiser presents LaLiga Fantasy Marca Competition

 

1. This promotional competition (LaLiga Fantasy Marca competition) is run by International Breweries  PLC (IBPLC) (“Promoter”) and is open to all persons of 18 years or older and resident in Nigeria, except the employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotion agencies, associated companies, and outlet owners and staff.

2. These rules may be amended by notification at any time during the Competition and will be interpreted by the Promoter only. Participation by all entrants (“Participants”) constitutes acceptance of these rules.

3. The Competition begins on 12 August 2019 at 12h00 noon and ends on 24 May 2020 at 11pm (“Competition Period”).

4. The winner with the highest score in the La Liga Fantasy Marca each month until the end of Competition Period will stand a chance of winning a case of Budweiser (24x330mls), accepted electronically. Winners will be awarded one voucher code only. Each of the vouchers, will be delivered via Social Media notification to the by the end of each month during the Competition Period, after the notification and verification process mentioned below. The players with the highest score in the Nigeria league toward the end of the season will win two La Liga Santander match tickets.

5. To enter, Participants must be active players in the La Liga Fantasy Marca game in Nigeria or league. Winners of the subsequent prizes will then be asked to verify their age, name, contact details and delivery details. The Prize will only be awarded after the winner verification is successfully completed by the Promoter. Failing successful verification, the “winner” will be disqualified, and a substitute winner may at the discretion of the Promoter, be selected. The Promoter will not compensate the disqualified winner in any manner.

6. Entries not received timeously within the Competition Period will be disqualified (and therefore will not be included in the draw).

7. Prize/s not transferrable, exchangeable for cash or for an alternate prize.

8. The Promoter may make media announcements / publications of the names / photographs of Winner/s, provided that any Winner/s may expressly elect to decline this. The Promoter reserves the right to carry out audits in respect of any Winner/s to verify their eligibility.

12.1 :  Participants in this Competition agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that the agencies and their designees and assigns may use the participant’s name, voice, city/state of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification, provided that any such person may expressly elect to decline this by written communication to the Promoter.

Budweiser presents King of the Match Twitter Chatbot

 

1. This promotional competition (King of the Match Twitter Chatbot) is run by International Breweries  PLC (IBPLC) (“Promoter”) and is open to all persons of 18 years or older and resident in Nigeria, except the employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, the Promoter’s advertising and promotion agencies, associated companies, and outlet owners and staff.

2. These rules may be amended by notification at any time during the Competition and will be interpreted by the Promoter only. Participation by all entrants (“Participants”) constitutes acceptance of these rules.

3. The Competition begins on 12 August 2019 at 12h00 noon and ends on 31 October 2019 at 11pm (“Competition Period”).

4. The campaign has 2 legs in the mechanics. 1. Opt-in Profile Picture Layover and 2. King of the Match Predictor on Twitter:

  • 4.1. Participants will be asked to choose the favourite Premiere League team who they would like to support and follow for the 2019/2020 season. Participants will be gifted with a custom profile picture overlay customized to the team of their choice. This team will also be the team they will be participating with for 4.2 King of the Match Predictor on Twitter.

 

  • 4.2. Every time the participants team plays in the Premiere League Twitter will automatically send a push notification, inviting the participant in selecting that week’s Man of the Match now called “King of the Match. Participants will be redirected automatically to a Twitter Chatbot direct message where they will select the team, they believe will win the game as well as their predicted “King of The Match”. All predictions must be made before the start of each match.

If the participants guess the team and player for “King of the Match” correctly, he will be rewarded with 6 units of Budweiser or gift voucher for the value of 1500 NGN. All winning participants will be notified once a week on the following Monday and will receive their voucher code in a direct message over Twitter. Participants can play and predict every week and are able to win every week.

5. To enter, Participants must be active Twitter users and have an active, authentic user-run account. Winners of the subsequent prizes may be asked to verify their age, name, contact details and delivery details. Failing successful verification, the “winner” will be disqualified, and a substitute winner may at the discretion of the Promoter, be selected. The Promoter will not compensate the disqualified winner in any manner.
